Work Reinvented: The National Launch of a New Way of Working
Project Specs
Client: Medibank — Work Reinvented
Industry: Insurance / Health / National Workforce
Format: Multi-City Offsite Series
Audience: 3,000+ Employees Nationwide
Project Summary
In 2023, Medibank set a bold aspiration: to become the healthiest organisation in Australia by 2030. This wasn't just about physical health—it was about transforming the very fabric of how the organisation works, thinks, and leads. They needed more than a vision—they needed momentum. Fast.
But momentum is hard to spark in large organisations. Leadership fatigue, cultural inertia, and the lingering shadow of a public cyber attack had left many teams in a state of disengagement. To galvanise the movement, Medibank needed a catalytic experience—one that would inspire belief, rebuild trust, and activate agency across every layer of the business.
That’s where Myke came in.
With his facilitation mastery, live performance edge, and his Wild Work™ methodology, he designed and delivered a one-day leadership experience unlike anything Medibank had seen before. What began as a single pilot offsite for 200 leaders became a national rollout including 25 full-day immersions, delivered both online and in-person, reaching over 3,000 employees across the country.

In Action

The
Shift
Given the scale of Medibank’s aspiration, Myke didn’t just ‘run an event’. He carefully designed an experience that would shift the way Medibank employees saw themselves, the value unlocked by embracing reinvention, and the possibility of becoming a national leader for new ways of working.
From the room design and surprise pre-event meetups, to interactive art installations and content that was equal parts personal and professional development.
Every element was intentionally designed to rebuild trust, ignite possibility, and activate agency. Ensuring participants could reconnect with purpose, reimagine their role in the 2030 vision, and walk out inspired and empowered to lead reinvention from wherever they stood in the business.
The Impact:
The experience felt more like a festival of culture than a corporate workshop. The response was electric. Countless long-tenure employees called it “the best day I’ve ever had at Medibank.”
What started as an offsite became a movement—one that continues to ripple across the organisation. This wasn’t culture change as usual. It was cultural reinvention, anchored in aliveness, trust, and a renewed sense of shared possibility.
Why This Matters:
If you're leading a large-scale transformation and need your people to not just understand the change, but buy into the promise and welcome any discomfort along the way—this is how it’s done.
Are you on the verge of launching a new cultural initiative? The best thing to do is reach out to Myke.
